Removing the Old Panel

Pull out the retractable control panel to its service position. Before disconnecting anything, photograph every cable connection and label each plug with its position. The control panel connects to the mainboard via ribbon cables—handle them by the edge connector shroud, never touch the pins. Flip up the connector locking clips and gently disconnect the ribbons. Remove the mounting screws securing the panel to the chassis. Lift the old panel out carefully, keeping it in its ESD bag if set down.

Installing the New Panel

Position the new control panel with the exact same orientation as the old one. Hand-tighten the mounting screws first, then fully secure them. Following your photographs and cable labels, reconnect each ribbon cable to its matching port and lock the clips firmly. Route cables neatly to avoid stress on connectors. Double-check that no plug is reversed and no connector is left unaccounted for.

Testing

Reconnect power and turn on the printer. The control panel should boot normally and respond to touch or key input. Navigate through the menu to verify full functionality. If the panel is unresponsive, power off immediately and re-verify cable mapping. Once the panel operates correctly and all menu functions are accessible, the NC-UV0609PEIII-II​ is ready for production.

Post-Replacement Care

Keep the old panel for diagnostic comparison if advised by NOCAI support. Maintain a stable power environment to protect the new panel.
