Preparation

Wear nitrile gloves to avoid skin contact with UV ink. Prepare a clean workspace with absorbent paper. Keep a new genuine ink cartridge matching the required color (K, C, M, Y, W, Varnish, etc.) on hand. You will also need lint-free wipes and isopropyl alcohol for cleanup.

Identifying the Empty Cartridge

Check the ink level indicator on the control panel or RIP software to identify which color needs replacement. Open the ink cartridge cover to access the cartridge chamber. Verify the color label and color pattern on the cartridge before proceeding.

Removing the Old Cartridge

Loosen the ink bottle cap or release the cartridge locking mechanism. Lift the old cartridge out gently. To prevent leakage, place the removed cartridge upside down in a waste container. Wipe any spilled ink immediately with a lint-free wipe.

Installing the New Cartridge

Take the new cartridge out of its packaging. Align it with the correct slot—each color has a specific orientation and foolproof port. Insert the cartridge vertically and press it down until it seats securely. Tighten the ink bottle cap properly. Close the cartridge cover.

Manual Pumping and Testing

According to the NC-UV0609PEIII-II user manual, enter the device maintenance menu in standby state, find “Manual pump”, and click Enter to start ink extraction. Observe the waste ink bottle: once ink is drawn out and the ink path is clear, confirm that ink flows from the two black ink tubes in a smooth water-column shape. Then click “Exit” to cancel the manual pump process. Run a nozzle check to confirm all channels fire. Print a test pattern to verify color density. Once ink flows steadily and prints are normal, the NC-UV0609PEIII-II​ is ready for production.

Post-Replacement Care

If the RIP software prompts for an ink counter reset, reset it accordingly. Dispose of old cartridges following local regulations. Store spare cartridges in a cool, dark place. Note that the one-year maintenance warranty excludes ink-related parts, and using non-NOCAI ink may void after-sales support.
