NC-UV0609MAX-II nozzle plate replacement

Proper NC-UV0609MAX-II nozzle plate replacement restores uniform ejection on this 600×900 mm industrial UV printer. It uses Epson 13200-U1 white, 13200-U1HD color and 11600-U1 varnish, prints CMYK+LC+LM+LK+LIK+W+V at 720×600/900/1200 dpi, FlexiPRINT 22, 470W, AC 220/110V, negative-pressure eco UV ink, 0–180 mm height, 25–28°C/35–65% RH. OEM plates resolve streaks, banding and missing-nozzle faults.

Preparation

Power off, unplug, ground and wear antistatic gloves. Through the panel, driver or FlexiPRINT, park the carriage over the cap station. Gather an OEM Nocai nozzle plate/head by BOM, screwdrivers, tweezers, wipes, UV cleaning solution, isopropyl alcohol and bracket photos. Relieve negative pressure, then disconnect sacs, dampers and color lines by channel.

Diagnose and remove

Print a nozzle test; replace the plate when gaps persist after Auto Cleaning, or when scratches, baked ink, deformation, leaks or one color is fully dead. First exclude clogged tubes, faulty sacs, low pressure and dirty cap station. Disconnect the head FFC and ink fittings, unbolt the carriage block, and lift the old plate straight out without touching the nozzle surface.

Install and prime

Seat the OEM Nocai plate in the original orientation and tighten bracket screws evenly per manual. Reconnect the FFC fully, refit dampers and sacs by color, and route tubes without kinks. Set 2–3 mm head-to-media height, keep the plate parallel to the beam, and avoid overtightening. Power on, run manual pump and Auto Cleaning until every channel reaches the waste bottle.

Test and care

Print a nozzle test on transparent media; all CMYK+W+V channels should fire evenly. Then run step, vertical and bidirectional calibration and print an alignment grid. When output is streak-free, the NC-UV0609MAX-II nozzle plate replacement is complete. Daily wipe the plate with UV solution, cap heads when idle, service the cap station, and maintain 25–28°C/35–65% RH with Nocai eco UV ink.
