Proper NC-UV0609MAX-II Front limit switch replacement restores accurate carriage limit detection on the 600×900 mm industrial UV printer. The NC-UV0609MAX-II uses Epson 13200-U1 white, 13200-U1HD color and 11600-U1 varnish, runs CMYK+LC+LM+LK+LIK+W+V at 720×600/900/1200 dpi, FlexiPRINT 22, 470W, AC 220/110V, negative-pressure eco UV ink, 25–28°C / 35–65% RH. The front limit switch tells the control system where the carriage stops at the X-axis end. A failed switch causes limit sensor errors, grinding, sudden stops or collision risk. Fitting a genuine Nocai sensor returns stable homing.
Check the cable first
Power off and unplug the printer before any work. Open the access panel near the X-axis beam end. Disconnect and reseat the front limit sensor plug to clear oxidation. Inspect the cable along its full length for looseness, breaks or aging. If the fault clears after reseating, no sensor change is needed. Proceed to replacement only when the error remains with an intact cable.
Remove the old switch
Photograph the bracket, connector and trigger flag position. Disconnect the sensor cable from the mainboard or intermediate connector. Unscrew the old switch and lift it out gently. Note the actuator direction and the exact gap to the carriage flag. Check the plunger for ink mist, dust, impact marks or stuck movement before fitting the new part.
Install the new sensor
Mount the OEM Nocai front limit switch in the same orientation and position. Tighten the screw firmly without over-torquing. Reconnect the plug until it locks. Route the cable away from the carriage path, belt and drag chain so motion cannot pull the terminal. Confirm the detection gap aligns with the carriage flag; a shifted bracket changes the stop point and homing accuracy.
Test and reset
Reconnect power and boot the printer. Jog the carriage toward the front limit from the panel. The printer should detect the limit and stop smoothly without slamming. If the front limit error clears and the carriage moves normally, run a nozzle check and print a test pattern. Stable movement completes the NC-UV0609MAX-II Front limit switch replacement.
Post-replacement care
Keep the switch area free of dust and ink mist. Inspect the cable monthly for slack or abrasion, and avoid placing objects in the carriage travel path. Log the replacement date and part number. If the limit error recurs, the fault may lie in the cable, mainboard or mechanical bracket rather than the switch itself.
