Reinstall the timing belt over the pulley and adjust the tensioner so the belt deflects about 5–10 mm under moderate finger pressure—not too loose, not too tight.

Testing and Verification

The carriage should move to the left limit, reverse to the right limit, then return to the zero position smoothly. Listen for unusual noise.
