Wear nitrile gloves and avoid touching the nozzle surface with fingers, ordinary tissue, hard tools, or unapproved cotton swabs—direct contact scratches the surface or introduces contamination. Prepare a genuine NOCAI nozzle plate matched to NC-CylinderElf-IV-A, manufacturer-approved cleaning fluid, lint-free swabs, and a torque-appropriate precision screwdriver set.

Removal

Flush residual ink from the head and rinse with special cleaning solution. Photograph the cable routing and mounting orientation. Remove the fixing screws in the sequence specified by the manufacturer—never use force, knocking, or bending, as the printhead bracket deforms easily. Lift the old nozzle plate straight out along the guide pins. Do not pull cables. Place the removed assembly on non-woven fabric dampened with cleaning fluid and store it in the head box to prevent the ink system from drying.

Installation

Seat the new genuine nozzle plate onto the guide pins, aligning screw holes precisely. Tighten screws to the manufacturer’s specified torque—over-tightening cracks the ceramic core. Reconnect all flexible cables with their original orientation. Keep electrical contacts completely dry before power-up. The nozzle plate must sit flush and parallel to the carriage datum; any skew causes banding or head strikes.

Testing and Verification

Reconnect power and run the automatic startup routine without interruption. Print a nozzle test pattern—all channels should fire fully and evenly. If significant clogging remains, perform a single light cleaning and re-test; never force ink through the head with excessive pressure, as it damages internal seals. Print a gradient and small-text test pattern to verify production-quality output. Post-Replacement Care
