Prepare lint-free wipes, ≥99%异丙醇, a Phillips driver, 镊子, and a new OEM grating strip specified for NC-UV0406-VI. Photograph the strip ends, card brackets, reader position, and X-axis limit switch before removal.

Do not touch the engraved scale with fingers. Loosen the strip-card screws or end brackets gently. Slide the old strip out of the reader sensor slot first, then release both end fixtures. Fit one fixed end of the new strip, then route it straight through the reader slot without twisting. Recheck that numbers or reference marks face the correct direction if the OEM part is directional.

Homing and Accuracy Test

Power on and run the homing sequence; the carriage should move to the origin and return correct X-axis readings. In FlexiPRINT, print an alignment chart and a small grid pattern; measure printed size against the design size. If margins drift or ghosting remains, recheck strip centering, tension, and reader cleanliness.
