Préparation

Prepare an OEM Nocai grating sensor, small Phillips driver, pince à épiler, lingettes non pelucheuses, ≥99% isopropyl alcohol and bracket photos. Do not touch the encoder strip or X-axis limit switch during setup.

Retirez l'ancien capteur

Open the cover, locate the reader on the carriage facing the encoder strip, disconnect its ribbon or cable, label the connector, and unscrew the bracket. Lift the old unit straight out. Inspect the optical window, cable and bracket for ink mist, scratches or looseness. If only dust causes errors, wipe the strip and window with alcohol in one direction, then retest before replacing.

Mount the OEM sensor in the original orientation. Align its optical window with the encoder strip, keep the gap per manual—Nocai same-series guidance commonly uses 1–2 mm—and tighten screws lightly to avoid tilt. Encoder test and alignment

Reconnect power and enter the service menu; run “Encoder Test” or equivalent, then move the carriage across the full width. The X-axis readout should stay positive and increase smoothly without jumps.
