NC-UV0406-VI Origin sensor replacement

Adecuado NC-UV0406-VI Origin sensor replacement restores reliable carriage homing and prevents start-margin errors on this A2 desktop UV printer. The NC-UV0406-VI uses two Epson I1600-U1 heads, prints 400×600 mm with 0–180 mm media height, supports CMYK+W, runs FlexiPRINT MiniServer, and works best at 20–28°C / 35–65% RH under 143W, CA 220/110 V. The origin sensor detects the carriage reference at startup; when it fails, the printer may not home, show homing faults, or misalign jobs. Replacing it with a matched Nocai sensor returns stable registration.

Preparación

Apague y desenchufe la impresora; wear antistatic gloves. Open the cover and prepare a Phillips driver, pinzas, toallitas sin pelusa, alcohol isopropílico, and a new origin sensor specified for NC-UV0406-VI. Manually move the carriage away from the home side. Photograph the sensor position, cable route, and bracket orientation before removal.

Quitar el sensor antiguo

Locate the origin sensor near the carriage home position—often at the chassis end close to the parking area. Desconectar el cable del sensor de la placa base o conector intermedio. Retire el tornillo de montaje, note the detection direction, and lift out the old unit. Check for ink mist, polvo, or physical damage that caused false homing.

Instalación del nuevo sensor

Fit the new OEM sensor in the same orientation. Align its slot or sensing face with the carriage flag/reflective target; keep the gap per manual—Nocai similar models commonly use about 2–3 mm from the flag. Secure screws lightly, reconnect the cable until it locks, and route the wire away from moving parts and the UV lamp area.

Homing Test and Calibration

Power on and watch the homing sequence; the carriage should move to home and stop precisely at the origin. Si se excede o falla, recheck alignment and connectors. Print an alignment pattern in FlexiPRINT; if the start margin drifts, adjust origin offset in the service menu. When homing is stable and registration is correct, the NC-UV0406-VI Origin sensor replacement is complete and the printer is ready for production.
